EMILY KING

Chief Executive Officer


Ms. King is a geologist specializing in building and leading multi-disciplinary teams to achieve clients' high-priority objectives in Africa and the Middle East.

Prior to founding GV, she led mineral exploration programs in Afghanistan for the U.S. Department of Defense, overseeing tenders of large copper and gold exploration targets, small-scale processing initiatives, and exploration throughout Afghanistan and Iraq.

Ms. King offers clients a combination of technical, strategic, and management expertise. She has a degree in Geology and Government and Legal Studies from Bowdoin College, where she recently was a guest lecturer for the Earth and Oceanographic Science Department.

C. MARK KING

Chief Operations Officer


Mr. King brings Global Venture clients extensive operational and project development experience with projects in Central America, Middle East and Africa.

His specialty is in leading and administering projects, developing exploration techniques, and leveraging new disruptive technology in the interpretation and mapping of mineral data.

As Global Venture's COO, Mr. King oversees safety and environmental risk management at project scale. He brings years of experience successfully managing small, specialized teams in the United States Military, enabling him to enhance clients' success in challenging environments.

J. GREG CRUMPTON

Director, Capital Resources


Mr. Crumpton brings 36+ years of history in the end-user and customer-facing world to Global Venture, where he works with the leadership team to develop, enhance and strengthen partnerships.

He was the Founder of AirTight Mechanical, Inc., which was purchased by Service Logic, the single largest privately held HVAC Mechanical Service Company in the US, in November of 2014.

Mr. Crumpton brings experience building companies that provide out of the box solutions to their customers. Driven by details and passionate about technology, he understands the importance of communication and that downtime is not an option in critical environments.

BOB WILSON

Director, Strategic Initiatives


As Global Venture’s Director of Strategic Initiatives, Bob Wilson brings GV’s team and clients his 27 years of experience as an Army special operations officer and national security professional.

Prior to joining our team, Bob served as a Director for Counterterrorism at the National Security Council, where he coordinated United States counterterrorism policies across Africa. Throughout his career in the United States Army, Bob led or provided critical support to complex special operations missions in the Middle East, Central Asia, Afghanistan, and Central and South America.

Additionally, Bob has a career-long history of leveraging government, academic, think tank, media, and corporate expertise aimed at informing decision making at the highest levels. He also has considerable experience integrating mineral resource development activities as a critical component of United States national security policy. Bob Wilson holds a MBA from Webster University, a Masters of Resource Strategy from the National Defense University, a Masters of Military Arts and Sciences from the School of Advanced Military Studies, and a BS in Finance from the University of Connecticut, Storrs.

STEPHEN PETERS, PhD

Consulting Geologist


Dr. Peters is an Emeritus Research Geologist with the US Geological Survey, residing at the Mackay School of Mines, Reno, Nevada. His background is in mining and exploration geology, and resource assessment. He was the Project Chief for the USGS Afghanistan Minerals Project and has also led projects in SE Asia and Madagascar.

He received a Research PhD in Economic Geology from James Cook University of North Queensland, Townsville, Queensland, Australia, an MSc in Engineering Science Management from the University of Alaska, and a BSc in Geology from Northern Arizona University. Dr. Peters conducted field and laboratory research on Carlin-type Au deposits in Nevada and China for the USGS.

Previous to this he worked in private industry for 20 years in the exploration and production of mineral deposits in Australia, Western U.S., Alaska, and South Africa, with various mining companies. Dr. Peters is a Registered Engineer (CEng) with the Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (London) and a 45-year Member of the Society of Economic Geology, and the American Institute of Mining and Exploration (AIME), and a member of good standing with the Geological Society of Nevada.

STUART IRVINE

Oil and Gas Exploration Consultant


Mr. Irvine is a drilling superintendent and manager with decades of global petroleum experience in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and South America. He brings geographic and technical expertise to the GV team and supports clients looking to enter or expand their presence in the region.

JONATHAN GODBOUT

Infrastructure Consultant


In addition to his work with GV, Jonathan Godbout is the Director of Programs and International Development at Builders of Hope. In this role, he manages rural housing, urban planning, and community development projects in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and India.

He is also the acting CEO of iBUILD, a start-up mobile application company focused on deploying a mobile application for construction in developing countries. Prior to joining Builders of Hope and iBUILD, Mr. Godbout worked as management consultant at IBM for 7 years through which he gained in depth knowledge of emerging market economies across a wide variety of industries – including government, military, healthcare, finance, security, and supply chain.

MEGHAN FREIBERG

Market Research Consultant


Ms. Freiberg supports GV clients looking to better understand the dynamics of the natural resources sector in emerging markets.

As a market researcher for GV, Ms. Freiberg provides clients with relevant and accurate updates on their priority geographies and industries that are strengthened by the GV team’s ability to provide ground truth in complex and remote environments.
